Dallin Cutler
Founder
Dallin has 6 years of professional soccer playing experience where he played for teams like the San Diego Sockers and Ontario Fury of the MASL, San Diego 1904 FC of NISA and Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL Championship.
He also played 3 years of Division 1 collegiate soccer for San Diego State University and 2 years of semi-professional soccer with Brigham Young University.
He has experience coaching professionally where he was hired as an Assistant Coach, General Manager and later as the youngest ever Head Coach for San Diego 1904 FC.
His coaching experience extends to high school soccer where he led the varsity Rancho Bernardo High School team to back-to-back-to back Division 1 CIF Finals, winning two out of the three in 2020 and 2021 in his only three seasons as head coach.
Dallin also has over 10 years of experience coaching at the club level for clubs like DMCV Sharks, Albion SC, FC Golden State and Surf.
Jason Perrenoud
Chief Operating Officer
Jason is a dynamic business leader and coach with a rich background in operations management and strategic planning.
He currently holds a USSF D license and is a highly respected coach within the Utah soccer community. Jason has contributed to the development of numerous players and teams across various clubs earning him recognition as a leader in the soccer community here in Utah County.
In his current role as COO of Tesani Companies, Jason leverages his expertise in operations management to streamline processes, drive efficiencies, and foster a culture of innovation. His proactive leadership style, coupled with his dedication to mentorship and community engagement, underscores his commitment to making a positive impact both in the business world and on the soccer field.
Kaleb Augat
Director of Coaching
Kaleb grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he played club soccer for Utah Soccer Alliance (USA).
In High School, he was able to earn spots on both the Portland Timbers and Real Salt Lake MLS Youth Academies. He played NCAA Division I soccer at Utah Valley University before a career-ending knee injury.
Since then, he has worked as a health coach, personal trainer, and is a former head coach & head of human performance at the Utah Red Wolves USL Academy.
Kaleb is a certified sport and exercise nutrition coach, health coach, personal trainer, and currently holds his USSF-D License. He is also part of the BYU Strong Youth Project, an organization that performs, synthesizes, and communicates scientific research to improve the youth athlete experience.
He is currently working toward a B.S. in Psychology at Utah Valley University, with hopes of receiving a PsyD/PhD in Clinical Sport Psychology.
Floris van Nijnanten
Director of International
Floris is a 23-year-old soccer talent from Amsterdam and began his soccer journey at age 6 with local club JEKA. He was selected for the KNVB District 'talent team' for three seasons and at age 10, was scouted by NAC Breda and spent eight seasons in their youth academy. While there he spent time playing against teams like Ajax, Feyenoord, and PSV. He also captained the U14, U15, U16, and U17 teams and represented the Dutch National U16 team.
In 2019-2020, Floris joined V.V. Baronie, advancing to the first senior team early and competing in the Third Division. In 2020, he transferred to Nova Southeastern University, excelling and winning SSC and Regional Championships. After three seasons, he transferred to Utah Valley University in 2023.
Floris' playing experience includes NAC Breda, V.V. Baronie, Nova Southeastern University, Grand Rapids FC (USL League 2), and Utah Valley University. His coaching includes Breda, private sessions in the USA, Hollywood Wildcats, and Provo Athletic Club.
Matt Stoddard
Academy Coach
With over 10 years of coaching experience, Matt is a seasoned coach dedicated to excellence. His experience extends from managing Director level positions within youth soccer clubs here in Utah to the semi-professional level in the USL where he was an assistant coach at Brigham Young University for the men's side, and also the assistant coach for the US Men's National Collegiate Team at the World University Games in Taiwan.
Notably, Matt's tenure with the BYU Men's soccer team resulted in a Club National Championship, which is a testament to his coaching philosophy. He prioritizes unwavering commitment and instills a deep understanding of the game, nurturing players into elite athletes.
Under Matt's guidance, many of his players have gone on to achieve success at the NCAA Division 1 collegiate and professional level worldwide.
Arturo Paredes
Goalkeeper Coach
Arturo Paredes, comes from Oxnard, California where he grew up playing for Oxnard Wave.
In 2006, at age 14, Arturo moved to Utah but found limited opportunities due to the region's underdeveloped soccer scene. He opted to play in semi-pro adult leagues instead, honing his goalkeeping skills. Arturo also had the opportunity to train with Pachuca in Mexico playing against teams like Chivas Sub 20.
Returning to Utah, he competed in the Telemundo Cup, where his team triumphed over Weber State University. At 16, Arturo was the youngest on his team, surrounded by former professional and reserve players from top clubs like Chivas, Tecos, and Real Madrid (Colombia).
He has been mentored by experienced teammates and has a lot of professional experience to offer our young goalkeepers.
Chris Rodgers
Director of Operations (UT)
Co-founder
Chris' love for "The Beautiful Game" began at a young age and has continued into his adult life. Growing up he played with some of the top competitive clubs, high school soccer and eventually in college.
As captain of Bingham High School boy's soccer team in Utah, Chris helped lead his team to four consecutive regional championships. After high school he enjoyed a collegiate career at Westminster College.
After his playing days, Chris transitioned into coaching youth soccer, wanting to share his love for the game through nurturing the next generation of soccer enthusiasts. Chris currently coaches with N.U.C.S and Surf Soccer.
Chris's numerous experiences as a player, coach and fan have given him a life-long love for the game of soccer.
Gerardo Costes
Director of Performance
Gerardo has over 20 years of coaching experience in Southern California. He is the Assistant Coach for San Diego Miramar College and the Head Coach for Rancho Bernardo High School. He was Director of Coaching for Albion Chula Vista and Director of the Rec Program and Private Sessions for FC Golden State.
Gerardo played professionally at Pumas UNAM Reserva Central and collegiately at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico.
He has created successful mental strength programs that he has been teaching for the last 3 years to High School, College, and professional players. He focuses on improving players performance by using mindfulness and attention regulation, managing stress and anxiety, and positive thinking.
Carlos Rodriguez
Head of Recruitment
A local from Lindon, UT, Carlos Rodriguez grew up playing for Utah Valley Rangers, where he captained his club team to four state championships and competed in Western Regionals. At Timpanogos High School, Carlos also captained his varsity team and earned a spot on the 5A All-State First Team.
He then continued his soccer journey at Utah Valley Community College (now Utah Valley University).
After his playing days, Carlos transitioned into coaching, eager to share his love for the game with the next generation. He has experience coaching at clubs like Celtic and Surf.
In addition to his soccer career, Carlos has spent 13 years at Adobe as a Creative Cloud Named Support Engineer and serves as a Venture Partner with Cable Construction. His professional experience in communication, organization, collaboration, leadership, and project management brings a unique skillset to The Academy. Carlos is dedicated to creating a positive experience for everyone involved with Total Soccer Academy, and is eager to help it grow!
Ernie Reyes
Director of Operations (CA)
With over 8 years of coaching experience, Ernie comes to Total Soccer Academy as the Head Coach of San Diego Miramar College. Reyes has also served as the Head Varsity Girls’ Soccer coach at Mount Miguel High School since 2018. In 2022, he led the Mount Miguel Matadors to their first CIF championship ever, posting shutouts in every game throughout the playoffs. Reyes also garnered 2022 NFHS Southern Section Girls Soccer coach of the year. Reyes has placed various student athletes throughout his time in many different collegiate and professional programs around the country.
Reyes also played Division I soccer at San Diego State University from 2014-2018.
Reyes holds a master's degree in Sports Leadership from Concordia University, Chicago and a bachelor's degree in Social Science from San Diego State University.
